Mauro Mantovani, born 1966 in Moncalieri (Torino – Italy), is actually Vice-President and Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of Social Communication at the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS), Rome, where He is Professor in Theoretical Philosophy.
PhD in Salamanca (Spain) in 2006, and in 2010 Doctor in Theology in the Pontifical University “Tommaso d’Aquino” Angelicum, Rome, his investigations and publications focus on Philosophy of God and the philosophical question of God’s existence especially in the history of Thomism and in the academic commentaries to the Summa Theologiae by the “School of Salamanca”. Other fields of research are also philosophy of history and the relationship science/faith. Director of the STOQ Project (Science, Theology and the Ontological Quest) at UPS, He is Ordinary Member of the Pontifical Academy Saint Thomas Aquinas (PAST) and VicePresident of S.I.T.A.
